We're Techonomy, not Econology. Please don't confuse us.

Today is the opening day of the Techonomy conference in Lake Tahoe, whose name is a merger between Technology and Economy.

[tech(nology) + (ec)onomy] = Techonomy

It's similar to the Econology Institute whose name is a merger between Economy and Ecology.

[econ(omy) + (ec)ology] = Econology

I don't know much about the Econology Institute, but from what I can gather it appears that they want to solve the world's problems by firing laser beams into it.

The Techonomy conference has yet to begin, but I'm hoping someone recommends a "Star Wars" economic revitalization program.
